Socks

As the game lasts for several days, it´s very important to take care of your feet. Make sure that you have enough of socks for the whole week and do not forgot to take the extra pairs with you. Remember to change your socks several times during the game for your own hygiene and expecially, change the wet socks as soon as possible.

Remember to follow your factions basic costume guidelines and color-world when doing the socks. Socks are a part of your costume as much as example coat, as you will not use the shoes all the time.

All these examples can be used in all three factions, and they are easy to modify when wanted.

Knitted socks

Knitted socks are easy and comfortable option. Use wool (or cotton) threads and only natural looking colors. Do not use stripes or any other usual decorations, the socks is best as one-coloured. These kind of socks are easy to make and can also be bought as ready. When buing the socks as ready, follow these same quidelines, and remember that usually modern basic socks has synthetic fibers, and are not acceptable option.

We do not offer instructions for basic knitted socks, as they are easy to find example from knitting magazines. When the sock-texts are uploaded to the public websites, there will we instructions for following:

Super Easy Socks
These socks reminds very much slippers, and are easier and faster to make than basic woolen socks. You don´t need to be master-knitter, It´s enough that you know what is right and what is purl.

Cloth-socks
Socks can be also made quite fast from cloth. At first this kind of socks might feel weird but you will get used to them. Cloth-socks are thinner than knitted ones, and that way can be useful on hot weather. Use example cotton or linnen as a fabric. (NOTE: we do not have proper patterns for these, only a picture) They are still easy to make

Feetrags
This is very easy and fast way to cover your feet. Basicly it is just a piece of cloth which is tied to the ankle. Depending the used material, the feetrags can be very warm or cool. At some situations, they can even replace the shoes. For lighter ones use cotton or linen and for thicker ones even leather or wool.

How to make feetrags:
Cut two about 60 cm x 60 piece from fabric and neaten up the edges. Place foot diagonally on cloth and tie up to the ankle with cord. (dressing instructions later on in the website, or by asking from costume-info@dragonbane.org)
