Blackout in Blue Lake (Morgan)

The new year was approaching and I had almost finished everything for the culture guide, and was making real good progress on the acting guide, plus almost finished the Dragon mask sculpturing. Then came the morning of new year's eve, and the last two days to make the final rush to finish it all off was to start. Then it happened. A complete blackout of the whole county after a major storm. No electricity, only a few hours of battery on the laptop, and no Internet for communication.

How was I to finish the stuff before I started school again? A few hours writing kitted together the acting guides of the factions with some other material, but then no more. So during the full weekend, I managed
to get 15 minuets on a Internet café in the near by town where the power was back. I sent an e-mail to my 'superiors' to explain the tragic conditions in northern California. It read:

Blue Lake is in a black out and I will not be able to answer emails for a while.

I downloaded all my e-mails to my computer, but did not have time to answer them before we had to take off. That evening I sat for an hour in our car, laptop plugged in with the car adapter, writing replies to e-mails I hoped to be able to send on the Monday after class from some Internet café.

Monday came, rehearsals all day, 9 am to 9 pm, in pitch dark after 5 pm. We rehersed in candlelight until 8 o'clock, when the power came back on again after almost three whole days. So after class I hurried home and sat down in front of my computer. I sent off the mails I wrote, getting new ones, working on characters for players, figuring out some more stuff on the portal, making lists of what is needed to be done on the
portal, adding some material to the culture guide and writing even more e-mails. At 3 am I decided it is time to write a Dragonbane dairy entry. By 3.15 I am finished.
