Finland, Loimaa
We started our dragonbuilding weekend on Friday when we gathered at our Turku workshop and loaded ourselves into cars. We managed to get to Loimaa despite our driver who wanted to drive through the Turku student village with his big Mercedes van.
When we got to Loimaa I managed to completely forget that we had a third guy who needed to be picked up from the Loimaa railway station, when he called me the conversation went something like this:
"I'm here at the station, where is the car you promised?"
"Oh I thought you were here already."
We didn't do any real work on Friday, just gathered at Epa's place, watched a movie and prepared for Saturday.
On Saturday four more people arrived and this time I managed to send someone to pick them all up. We started by making a welding table and cutting some of our metal to right lenght. While the metal side was preparing another crew attacked our Ponsse S15 forresting machine and started to tear away parts that we didn't need for the dragon.
We managed to do quite a lot. We removed the roof of the driver's compartment and welded all the supports for the floor in the back. Our only problem was that nobody had told the cook that if a recipe says "for sixteen people" you need to double it to feed fifteen people.
We finished our work around eight in the evening and made some pancake for evening meal.
On Sunday we continued the work with the foresting machine and made peasoup for lunch, this time the recipe said that it is for twelwe people and because there were less people present I onlu quadrupled it.
