Good sauna after busy workshop weekend (Tomi)
Dragonbane diary

Sodankylä , Finland
Two warm and sunny days in the middle of Finnish Lapland preparing stuff for Dragonbane. The temperature stayed above 15 degrees C in the shadow for almost the whole time, and on the tent coating, which was done in direct sunlight it was almost too hot to work!

We, the last three of the participants of the bunch of 16, arrived at the site around 11 o’clock at Saturday and started to work pretty much immediately. Both days were quite hectic as there was a lot of work to do, and some participants had cancelled during the week. We were able to do quite a remarcable amount of the work we had been scheduled to, consisting of wooden parts for some tables and the ballista, sewing and coating of the canvas for many tents intended for tamers and witches. The ballista was almost finished when we started to clean up at Sunday evening, and only one tamer tent was left without coating.

The weekend resulted in one casualty of work as one of us had a slight wound but happily it wasn’t too bad, he got couple of stitches and some pills for pain.
Disregarding that, the weekend was over really fast and we had a great time together with the other people there, who had mostly arrived much earlier and been working already for days. After work it was great to relax, enjoy Finnish sauna and some drinks in Aska [project leader's home. Editor's remark]. During the weekend two persons from the workshop team decided to participate in the Dragonbane larp.
