Finns invading my home (Love)

A few days ago I got a mail asking if I could open my home to some of the Dragonbane staff that were going down to the game area in Älvdalen. I said ok, and last night a fully loaded car showed up outside my house.  I then realised that this was the main staff that now is moving down to Älvdalen for the summer and they brought equipment to establish the new Dragonbane headquarters in an old school near the larp area.

Two men tired from driving and a pregnant woman with a huge belly (she is planning on giving birth to the child before the event and returning to have the name giving ceremony of the child combined with the wedding of herself and the father of the baby after the larp) came into my house and my biggest worry was how I would be  able to feed these Finnish savages, myself being a longtime hardcore Vegan. But it turned out that the Finns came without trust for Swedish cooking and they had brought their own Carload of Finnish Rye bread sponsored by the Finnish bread company Vaasan.

So I made some tea and we sat down in my kitchen for a meeting. I had before spoken with one of the Finns, Tiinaliisa, about cooperation in the  North Calotte area which resulted in Dragonbane getting some funds for this project. We made some good brainstorming on how we could connect Swedish and Finnish larpers in the far north. We decided to gather some of them on the medieval festival in Luleå, creating more connections after Dragonbane and making Finns and Swedes attend each other's larps, possibly making a joint project in the future. The meeting was great and after some more intensive discussion about larping and the Finnish success in the Eurovision song contest we went to bed.

The next morning we had a quick breakfast of Finnish rye Bread and after a good night sleep (they hadn't slept for the last few nights due to Dragonbane material being released) they waved goodbye, asked where they could find the nearest military outlet for some purchases, and drove down south towards Älvdalen and the Dragonbane building camp.
