Game area contract signed with local landowners

After searching the Swedish Älvdalen region for the ideal game location for Dragonbane the Dragonbane is proud to present one of the project’s major partners, the local land and forest owner’s association, Besparingsskogen. Besparingsskogen has agreed to lend us the Dragonbane game area initially for five years, so that the village of Cinderhill can be available for future games during some years to come. The landowners will also donate some building material (tree trunks) to the Dragonbane project. Besparingsskogen has in its contacts with the Dragonbane project been more generous and forthcoming in seeing our vision than we had ever hoped for.

Besparingsskogen was founded in the late 19th century to ensure growth in a region suffering from severe poverty. Today, the land areas of Besparingsskogen totalling 54.000 hectares are owned jointly by 2.300 land owners. Besparingsskogen also owns parts of three hydropower plants and it takes care of 1.400 km of forest roads.
